It was announced today that AppraiserEdge.com, the newest Online National Real Estate Appraiser directory will continue to accept free listings for Licensed Real Estate Appraisers throughout the first quarter of 2004. “Currently the site has over 150 Real Estate Appraisal companies who have taken advantage of the free listing offer.” said Anthony Torres, owner of A & M Consulting and webmaster for AppraiserEdge.com.
When asked why he would want to develop a national online real estate appraiser directory as there are many similar sites currently available, Mr. Torres responded by saying “Having been a mortgage originator and currently working with a mortgage company, I realize that most loan originators do not want to spend a large portion of their time searching for an appraisal company when they would rather be trying to get their pipelines closed and generate more business. By visiting the site, an originator may be able to develop a long-term business relationship with an appraiser or appraisers in their state or other states. This originator now knows whom to call when he or she needs another appraisal completed in that area. Not only was the site developed to act as a gateway to long-term relationships between mortgage originators and real estate appraisers but also to act as a gateway to anyone who utilizes the services of real estate appraisers. ”
When Mr. Torres was asked what makes AppraiserEdge.com different from the other online appraiser directories he responded by saying “It is the only appraiser directory with randomized company listings. The randomized listing feature provides the appraisal companies with something that the other sites cannot offer, increased exposure. Many of the sites that are available to these appraisal companies will list the companies in a particular state and/or county based upon when the company signs on for an account. If I appraise homes in Queens County, New York but I happen to be the fortieth company to be listed, the likelihood that I will receive an appraisal order from that site greatly diminishes as does the possibility for a long term business relationship.” “Whenever a user visits a listing page within the site, whether its an entire state listing or a county listing, the order that the companies appear in change thus increasing the possibility for the appraisal company to receive an order.
